Prayer for the fulfillment of our wishes
In Islam, prayer is the act of a servant turning to God, seeking His help and blessings. Sincerity, lawful earnings, patience, and reliance on God are of great importance for a prayer to be accepted. When we wish for our desires to be fulfilled, it is recommended that we ask God for what is good for us both in this world and the hereafter.
In the Holy Quran, our Lord says:
"Your Lord says: Pray to Me, and I will answer you."(Surat al-Mu'min, 40/60)
The Most Beautiful Wishing Prayer from the Quranرَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْاٰخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Pronunciation:
Rabbenâ atinâ fid-worldly goodness and elephant-afterlife goodness and henna azâben-nâr.
Meaning:
"Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of Hellfire."
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:201)
Prayer to be recited for the fulfillment of wishes:O Allah! You are capable of all things. Grant me this wish that I carry in my heart in the best way if it is good for me. If it is not good for me, make my heart content and grant me something better. Accept my prayers, make my affairs easy, and guide me to the paths that are pleasing to You. Amen.
The Prayer Taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Pronunciation:
Lâ ilâhe illâ ente sübhâneke innî küntü mine'z-zâlimîn.
Meaning:
"There is no god but You. Glory be to You. Indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers."
This prayer is mentioned in the Quran as the prayer of Yunus and is one of the prayers recommended to be recited in times of distress.
