Prayer to be recited when sacrificing an animal; Intention and Proxy Prayer
When performing the sacrifice, the primary goal should be to please Allah, the slaughter should begin with the recitation of Bismillah (in the name of Allah), and one should strive to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as much as possible.

Important Considerations During Sacrificial Slaughter
The slaughter of the sacrificial animal must begin with the recitation of Bismillah (In the name of Allah) and Takbir (Allahu Akbar).
The animal should not be subjected to cruelty; the slaughtering process should be quick and careful.
A sharp knife should be used.
No other animal should be slaughtered alongside the sacrificial animal.
Hygiene rules must be followed.
The sacrifice must be performed according to Islamic customs.

Note: The essence of intention is in the heart. The words spoken help to express the intention; it is not necessary to recite a specific text from memory for the validity of the worship. In slaughtering by proxy, the essential element is that a valid power of attorney has been given and that the slaughter is carried out in accordance with that power of attorney.
